Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center’s Programs focus on increasing awareness about hunger in our city, and those who may be in need of further assistance, whether spiritual or physical.  The goals of these ministries are simple: to assist families with one of life’s most basic necessities – food and support.  IBNC Logo

Broken Loaf Food PantryFood Commodities

  • Emergency Food Assistance Program as partnered with The Jacob & Cushman San Diego Food Bank.
  • Commodities Food (MASS DISTRIBUTION) is on the Thursday prior to the second Friday of each month starting February 7, 2019. (SEE MASS DISTRIBUTION DATES BELOW). Closed on Holidays.
  • Food distribution in the alley.
  • Low-income and homeless individuals within the Imperial Beach area can receive emergency food every 30 days.
  • The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center, in working with the city of Imperial Beach, is committed to addressing the issue of hunger.
  • The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center accepts donations of food items for this program.

Showers of Blessings Program Showers

  • Offers Military Showers (10 minutes) with personal toiletries.
  • Donated lunch bags.
  • Donated clothing also available.
  • The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center accepts donations for the lunch bags, towels, toiletries and gently used or new clothing. For more information, call 619-424-5181.


Interfaith Shelter ProgramInterfaith Shelter Network 1

  • Shelter for two weeks every year for those in the Interfaith Shelter Program
  • Different dates every year usually around the year end holidays.
  • In the Fellowship Hall (basement)
  • The Center provides shelter, food and helps build a community.
  • This program works to help transition individuals into work and a residence.
  • Individuals and groups are needed for hosting meals, overnight watch and other donated items.
